Terms of use

1. Free use

mind3D is free. There are no ads, no in-app purchases and no subscription. You may use the app privately and professionally.

2. Your content

Everything you create in mind3D belongs to you. Your mind maps are only on your device; we have no access to them and keep no copies. You are responsible for your own backups. Use the export function for this.

3. Encryption and recovery

If you switch on encryption, your mind maps can only be read with your password, your device’s security chip or your 24 recovery words. If both the password and the recovery words are lost, the data cannot be recovered, not even by us.

4. Plugins

Included plugins are part of mind3D. Plugins you install yourself from a file come from third parties. They can read and change your mind maps. We take no responsibility for third-party plugins.

5. Passing it on

mind3D is free and may be passed on, also free of charge. The following applies:

  • mind3D stays mind3D: the app or parts of it must not be passed off as your own work. The credits to the authors (Brian_FNA and nugnu) must be kept.
  • Modified versions must not be passed off as an official mind3D version.
  • Selling it for money is not allowed.

The safest way is to download from the official website or from Google Play. Only there can you be sure the app is unmodified.

6. Your freedom, your responsibility

You decide freely what you use mind3D for. We have no influence on that and no insight into your content. You alone are responsible for the content you create and for the consequences of its use.

7. No warranty, no liability

mind3D is provided free of charge and without any warranty, as is. We guarantee neither that it is free of errors or available at all times, nor that it is suitable for a particular purpose. Liability for damage of any kind, in particular for data loss, is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

The law does not allow liability to be excluded for intent, for injury to life, body and health, or under the German Product Liability Act. For a free-of-charge provision like this one, we are in any case only liable for intent and gross negligence (§§ 521, 524 German Civil Code, BGB).

8. Changes

We may adapt these terms, for example when new features are added. The current version is always on this page.

9. Applicable law

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you live remain unaffected.
